Booking and timing
Two to three weeks of notice is comfortable for most local moves. End of month weekends and the summer stretch from June through August fill up fastest, so book earlier if your lease turns over on the last day of the month.
If another company let you down and you are in a bind, ask anyway. Crews open up more often than people expect, and we will tell you plainly whether we can fit the date.
What is included in an estimate
For local moves we estimate crew size and hours from your inventory and the access at both addresses. For long distance moves inside Texas the figure follows the weight of the load and the miles driven.
Larger homes and every commercial job get a full walk through, in person or over a video call, before the number gets finalized. A one bedroom apartment can often be estimated from a written inventory you send us instead.
Packing and materials
You can hire us for full packing, a partial package covering just the kitchen and fragile items, or buy materials from us and pack yourself with a short guide on how to do it well.
We use dish barrels, wardrobe boxes, and picture cartons rated for stacking, not the soft boxes that soften in humidity and collapse under weight.
Storage and specialty items
Yes, we offer both short term and month to month storage for a move that lands between closings or a renovation that runs long. Specialty items like gun safes, pianos, and pool tables can be added to any move or booked on their own.
On move day
The lead calls when the truck is on the way so you are not waiting at the window. At the end of the day, we walk the truck and the house with you together to confirm nothing was left behind or missed.
Weather and rescheduling
Texas storms can roll through with little warning. If severe weather is forecast for your date, we will call ahead of time to talk through whether to push the start time or move the date, rather than leaving you to guess.
